Question

live stream on H series over upnp ( dlna )

Jan 11, 2015 5:56AM PST

Hi,

has anyone had any success feeding a dlna server with a livestream and then playing on a H series TV? I tried 2 dlna servers ( serviio and xupnpd ) but my 40H7000 refuses to play the live stream, saying the format is not supported. the same stream is working fine on 40D8000 TV.

thanks

thanks for the quick reply. I know there are lots of dlna servers out there but only few of the can take a live stream as input and serve it to clients. as long as I tried 2 and both worked with the older tv, and none works with the new tv, I guess is more like a tv issue.

If you dive into developer discussions on the DLNA forums you find that they have to tweak or accomodate Samsung many times. If you don't find anything that works I think a Roku or such on a stick may be the real fix.
