Question

Little sister kills laptop looking for help

Feb 18, 2015 3:16AM PST

I let my sister use a laptop and after about a month it comes back to me with a load if issues.
1. The desktop wont boot just shows a blue blank screen but i found away to get around that as a temporary fix.
2. The wireless card no longer finds connections but can be enabled and disabled windows claims bad drivers but divers have been re-installed
3. A usb wireless adapter netgear n300 wifi will not enable even after running the install cd windows says its drivers are also bad
Was hoping for some help but if not ill just re-install windows And since she had it for a while im sure im not getting the whole truth about what she did to cause all this

set it up with a Limited Account and put all necessary restrictions on it, especially blocking the adding of software other than windows updates, so anything she needs added must come past you first as Administrator. My youngest is 15 and still on a Limited account, just to avoid that very thing you are now experiencing. She'll be moving over to Limited account on Linux soon as I get around to it.
