Little help please

by rod7811 / February 27, 2006 11:52 AM PST

So I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. I am starting to travel and and curious on options for getting wireless connectivity while travelling. I am also a Cingular Wireless customer. Thinking of a Mobile PC CARD? What's a good one? How do I get it to work? What can I expect? I leave in a week, so I'm really desperate. Thanks in advance.

Some laptops have the ability to use the Cingular Wireless network for surfing the internet. But don't forget, this service will cost you (monthly, I believe). I know there have been a few articles here on CNet about this....let me see if I can find them for you. In the meantime, did I correctly understand your question? You want to be able to use the Cingular Wireless service for the web?

This is an article I found here on CNet that discusses wireless connectivity on laptops. Hope this helps.
Try the link entitled "CNET's wireless network buying guide", I found it to be very helpful!
