Question

Listening to music on SmartHub

by BACooke / June 4, 2012 3:50 AM PDT

When I listen to music that's streamed from my PC to SmartHub most of the features work but for some reason the little indicator that shows the length of the song and how many seconds have played so far doesn't move or indicate anything. Any suggestions?

BACooke,

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. In order for me to better help you, could you please provide for me the complete model code for this device?

I hope I can get this issue fixed for you!

The TV is a Samsung UN40D6000SFXZC and the music files are located on my PC running Windows7.

Not sure if this will work
by Samsung_HD_Tech Samsung staff / June 5, 2012 12:41 AM PDT

BACooke,

Honestly, I'm not sure if this is going to work for you, since you have a Canadian model, but I poked around and found that you can actually use Windows Media Player instead PC Share manager. Here's how: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=341382&modelname=UN40D6000SF&modelcode=&session_id=PTZ1s0T22l4VynBNjwxJsdkB0PfYSW7gp4z31rjvMBdhWlr1JyDP%21-1257981264%212007262035%211338907061029

Now if that doesn't work, or if you're already doing that, you can more support specifically for your country here: http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model/UN40D6000SFXZC

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately my Media Player was set up as suggested. I tried saving some more music to my PC and found out that IF I SAVE THE FILES AS MP3 FILES AND NOT AS THE WINDOWS DEFAULT SETTING the time bar (elapsed time played) WORKS!! Grin
