Listening to Barack Obama about 2008 ambitions

by Evie / November 10, 2006 12:09 AM PST

If he really is the next coming, why don't the Democrats do themselves a favor and get rid of the Reid baggage and install Obama as Senate Majority leader? After all, if he's really cut out for Presidency, why not put him in a leadership position to charismatically get out the agenda?

'He who walks on water.'

Who knows? He would probably be a lot better than Hillary.

I think it was Clarence Page

being interviewed by local media several days ago about HWWOW (Obama) and Mr. Page suggested Obama should run in 2008 BEFORE he gets a voting record that anyone can dispute. I hope he does run. Would love to see the primary backstabbing !!!

Interesting admission on Page's part

Run before you have a voting record that voters can look to for where you really stand on issues!

He voted against Roberts and Alito. The Republicans made a MAJOR mistake not stressing the importance of Judges in '06. I hope they won't repeat that in '08.

It's a small world
by James Denison / November 11, 2006 10:38 PM PST

Found out this week from my former neighbor of 20 years that his grandson,
Ian Adams is a congressional aide for Obama. Warren's son Mark is a physicist
at the Fermi Labs for the University of Chicago. I remember the kid, now
grown coming here during summers. This summer, Ian was here in Maryland to
help Obama campaign for Ben Cardin (white) against Steele (black) for the Senate.
Oddly, Kweisi Mfume's son was on the other side campaigning for Steele, the Republican.

My neighbors were conservative, (grandma Adams now deceased) but
their son has been many years in the university crowd, so his political views
are liberal, and so go his children I guess.

It's a small world.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
