Harv, Have You Tried ???

....deleting all the ActiveX control downloads on your computer, then checking again.

It would also help if we knew the operating system you're using.

And yes, the "Damaged" listings indicate that something has corrupted that particular file although it shouldn't be a major issue. Most of those files come from the "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files" (I'm using an XP computer at the moment) which are ActiveX controls. Those files are generally safe to delete and they will get replaced the next time you visit a site that needs them. Shockwave/Flash will need to be reinstalled, etc.

It might be a good idea to clean out the Temporary Internet Files folder and Cookies folder as well.

Open the Control Panel, double click the "Internet Options" icon, and click on the "Delete Files" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section. When the next window pops up, make sure to place a CHECK mark in the "Delete all offline files", then click on OK. If you're using IE 6, then also click on the "Delete Cookies" button.

Check the System Information again.

Hope this helps.

Grif, I don't know how to do what you suggested. Blush

Also, do these applications need to be restored on account of their Damaged status? If so, I don't know how to go about reinstalling them. Confused

Harv,

You still didn't mention which version of Windows you're concerned with, except your "Profile" indicates Windows XP. Is that correct?:

Did you check at the location I mentioned? Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location below.

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded "Program Files"

You should be able to find all of those file listed there. Delete all of the "damaged" ones.

You should be able to avoid downloading each of those files again until you visit the sites where they are necessary. (ActiveX controls will get replaced when you visit a site that needs them. The site will download them automatically, assuming you have your Internet Options security settings set to allow that.) Either way, It appears like you should be able to download and replace each of those files in the same folder by simply clicking on the links that you have listed in your post. Clicking on those links causes a download to occur.

Hope this helps.

Sorry for being so dense. Grin Yes, my OS is WinXP Home Edition.

I went into Windows Explorer as you instructed and found no entries there at all. Yesterday, I deleted all Macromedia and Shockwave references after a Files or Folder Search, and also deleted associated entries in the registry.

Thank very much for your patience and help.
