Linux to XP

Jul 4, 2006 12:09AM PDT

Yesterday I purchased a computer GQ3151 that has a Linux operating system. I need this computer to except Windows XP in order to run the wireless desktop adapter made by D-Link (DWL-G520). My primary computer is hardwired to the wireless 2WIRE setup provided by SBC. Yesterday I downloaded Paragon Partition Manager 7.0.1144 to a disk and tried to install it on the computer run by Linux. It shows to be on the computer however when I open the file in order executes the file a box appears. The box asks what program I want to use to open the file; everything I have selected will not open the file.

Doesn't sound like a Linux or XP question.

Linux to XP

I?m not sure I understand what is supposed to come next. I don?t see anything that looks like it applies to my problem. Is there another program I am supposed to download first? The website you referred me to shows a merge partition process do I need something like that and how do I get or do it?

I don't know about this partition tool.

If it doesn't run under Linux (it doesn't) then the only hope is the CD boots with it's own OS to provide the tools to free up partition space.

Again, this is not a question about XP or Linux but how to use that bought and paid for software. If they can't help you, ask for a full refund and use other partitioning, resizing software. Some run under linux such as http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/

That's bad.

Try getting your money back since their support failed you. Look at parted.

I think this is a windows application and it will not work with Linux (my guess).
