Linux tablet edition 2005

hi there, im looking for a media player for the linux tablet edition 2005, ive searched the web but i cant find anything. ive tried installing a linux media player .tar.gz but that obviously didnt work.

any ideas?

Just out of curiousity, what is linux tablet edition 2005? I could not find anything about it. Is it a distro or a device or what?

its on the nokia 770 tablet, it runs maemo, the media player on the tablet is really basic, i want to install another one on there. is there more in dept linux forums?

this one is mostly dedicated to flaming, i think. i have fun here, anyway.

For more technical help, i would suggest you try The community is very friendly and will try to point you to a better resource if they know one.

Honestly though, you are using something rather new and exotic (from what i saw on google), so i doubt you will be able to find much.

You should definitely make a backup of your disc image before you do anything, if you can... (what kind of I/O devices do you have? If you have a USB port this is very easy)

I might be able to help you if you can open a command line...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
