Question

Linux Help

Mar 18, 2017 9:15PM PDT

I'm running linux Mint (cinnamon environment) in VirtualBox. Every time I login, a message pops up talking about the OS being in software rendering mode. I tried looking it up and found that people have similar problems with Cinnamon in general using VirtualBox. My question is if I actually download Linux Mint (with Cinnamon) onto my computer, will it have the same problems as in VirtualBox?

Usually this happens if the hardware drivers are not capable.

...the Linux system is not directly in contact with some of the hardware but using the emulated interface supplied by the VirtualBox program.
