Setting up for dedicated SuSE 10 box and wonder if anyone can provide input on the new reiser file system. Is it prone to fragmentation or corruption or should I stick to eft1 or eft2 ?

What have your tests showed?

You may have to test it under your install, but file system wars and discussions were quite legendary. For me, I take what the installer suggests and it works great.

ReiserFS because it outperforms the other filesystems like ext3 and X\JFS in most categories. It is journalized, so it's better secured from unclean shutdows and so forth. One downside is that a lot of 3rd party functionality lies mostly with ext3(SELinux, explore2fs, etc.) If you're into looking for an normal desktop, go with the default(ReiserFS.)
