It's not much difference from one to the other today. I've used both and they all work about the same.
Any recommendations for a 'g' router?

You've picked two top names in routers. Either will suffice, but if you continue to use other options, go with that brand.

Personally I've had great experiences with the Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Broadband Router.

I have about 15 Lynksys wireless routers and access points. I also have about 6 Power over ethernet adapters. With a very few exceptions, I have had no problems with these. I also have several Netgear switches which I use because of their price-performance value. Again with with little or no problems. The difference between the two companies -- Service. I had a 16 port Netgear Giga switch (~$200) go quirky on me. After 15 minutes on the phone I had a swap RMA -- Done. One of my Linksys Power over Ethernet adapters ($44), that connected two Linksys Wireless Routers, died after about two weeks. After fighting on the phone for about 45 minutes and finally threatening to goto her supervisor's boss, I got a case number that I needed to go through the phone chain all over again to get the RMA which will be mailed to me. They can't transfer a call. They haven't heard about Email. I now will reconsider my future purchases.
