Question

Linksys Range Extender

Apr 8, 2015 5:15AM PDT

Hello everybody...I have a Linksys RE6500 extender and I don't know if it's working...my desktop network map says that it recognizes the device but can't put it in the network map..what does that mean? I've tried resetting the extender so I can get back to the Linksys set up, but I never reach that far...I called Linsys support and some guy with, of course, and Indian accent says everything's fine...?? Answer
Microsoft's network map is unreliable.

I've never found it to work for me. It's one of those nice ideas you can't rely on. Since Linksys says it's OK, and Microsoft has left the map in such a state, I'd call it working too.
