linksys or netgear?

hi..i'm planning on purchasing a wireless router..shall i go for the linksys WRT54G or netgear WGR614? i've read reviews on routers failing after sometime mainly the netgear routers..thanks in advance.

linksys is better

I've had experience with both brands. Linksys is by far the better brand for home networking. It is easier to setup, they last longer, and it is basically Cisco Systems "home" line of networking products. I've had the WRT54G for a while now and it works great. Go with linksys, you'll be happy! Grin

In 5 Years I have had 3 Linksys routers go bad & now use my old & 5 year netgear router. I am sure the firewall is old by now but it keeps going & going.
I only bought Linksys because I have the matching cable modem
