I'm trying to help my roommate get her laptop to access the Internet, but I can't figure it out. I'm hoping you can help. Here are the hardware/software specs:
Windows XP Home Edition, SP3
Linksys Wireless-G adapter, WPC54Gv4 (latest drivers)
Belkin Router, f5D9230-4
Right now, the laptop either doesn't connect at all, or only very briefly. We've used both the Linksys networking software and the Windows one.
However, it works fine when we don't have security setup, so I'm thinking it has something to do with this. We're using WPA-PSK with TKIP encryption. We don't want to have to leave our computers unsecured. Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance
