LinkStick WIS08BG Availability

by alseibert / November 22, 2009 6:33 AM PST

I'm trying to locate a source to purchase the WIS08BG LinkStick for a LN52A750 LCD TV. I've searched the Internet and have not found a single one. Does anyone know where I can buy the WIS08BG?

You may be able to find them at, or I don't know of any Authorized Samsung Dealers that stock them.

I tried to find one available for sale, but they come and go online relatively quickly.

You may already know this, but the only thing that the said LinkStick does is provide the InfoLink functionality. It really isn't all that exciting. It was a good first (?) step in the right direction by Samsung, but it is so not worth the $50, if you can even find it.
In the almost 10 months of owning my TV, I may have used InfoLink 3 times in the beginning, just to make sure everything was working. The DLNA feature of your TV is much more exciting (albeit still somewhat crippled), and you'd need a wireless bridge for that, or establish a direct/hard-wired connection to the router. This LinkStick (or any other Linkstick) won't do DLNA on 2008 LCDs.

Just my 2c...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
