Links (URLS) in emails (OE) don't open up window or load. Help!

The past few days, when I click on links (URLS) in my email (Outlook Express), nothing happens. No window opens up, nor does it load into another window already opened. Basically, nothing happens at all. I have Win XP Home edition. I've never had this problem before. What can I do to fix it?

If it's possible reload internet explorer, or go into add/remove programs in your control panel, click on internet explorer, and click the change/remove button. It may provide a repair tool for internet explorer, which also fixes outlook express, as they are packaged together. It sounds like an Active X control is not allowing the connection to links, I had to load that component in Mozilla (the active X controls plug in), and it works fine, it didn't work too well prior to installation of the plug in. Internet Explorer and Windows are based on Active X, so this could be the issue.
