Links bar

by rbul / May 13, 2006 12:08 AM PDT

I recently experimented with the desktop alternatives and ended up with larger than wanted Links bar icons.
How can I reduce the size of these icons?
Nothing I've reversed has helped.
Thanks, Bob

Bob, What do you mean by Links bar icons? Do you mean your Toolbar buttons or Taskbar icons, etc.?

That would be the Links ''toolbar'' in the Windows XP ''taskbar.''

Solution:
http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,117407,pg,3,00.asp

''Bonus XP Tip: To make your Quick Launch icons bigger, right-click the toolbar's title (or the bar to its left), make sure that 'Lock the Taskbar' is unchecked, and select View, Large Icons. Neat, eh?''

...but select View, Small icons.

Results?

Bob, Here's simple instructions similar to linkit's reply which should work. Unlock your Taskbar and to the right of the Start button you'll see a perforated verticle line, put your cursor(pointer)just to the right of that perforated verticle line and right click, choose View and choose Small Icons. After doing this Lock the Taskbar again.

Unfortunately I can select either 'Large Icons' or 'Small icons', they are the same size.
This is an action I had taken previously.
Thanks for your responses.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
