Linking iBook with iMac desk top

by m_billings / October 12, 2015 9:30 AM PDT

About 2years ago I read hint in Mac World mag about how to make the HD on an iBook appear on the desk of my iMac. I connected the iBook to the iMac using a cable, then booted the iBook. I held down a certain key on the iBook, but for the life of me I cannot remember the key. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking to use Target Disk Mode, but I couldn't remember the letter "T"

The key you pressed was the "T" key.

Puts the iBook into "Target" mode and mounts its disk on the desktop

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
