Lingo VOIP Phone service - All Cheating....

Mar 8, 2010 12:46AM PST

Guys - Lingo (www.lingo.com) VOIP Phone service provider claims they provide Free phone calls service for over 60 countries! do not believe them. It is all cheating. It is my personal experience, since they were offering free unlimited phone calls to 60 countries that includes India, I ended up calling home everyday in the morning and before going to bed, one fine day they sent me an email saying that I'm exceeding the limit of usage, which I didn't understand as they were promising unlimited calls. However, again after 2 weeks they sent me email again saying that they are suspending my account. So, watch out before signing up. In addition to that, they charged to my credit card for disonnection after promising the email that they do not charge disconnection fees.

But I always keep this in my mind. "If it's to good to be true then it probably is".

No such thing as unlimited calls

Almost every (if not all) VoIP providers that offers unlimited calls to whatever country isn't true. They have all caps. Skype has caps, MagicJack has caps and yes Lingo has caps too. You need to read the very tiny print to see it or in some cases they don't even print it. It's misleading actually to us end consumers.

Well, at least I am not affected because I don't need "unlimited" minutes and I'm using prepaid VoIP from Onesuite, pay as you go, no surprises.
