line in an inputfield

Nov 28, 2003 1:14PM PST

When you go to type text in an inputfield (like this one, address bar or search bar) you click and a line appears that moves infront of the text, some how I have got a solid blue blinking block that moves infront of the text and it is already there I don't have to click to start typing I can just start typing without having to click. I want to get back the line that moves infront of the text as you type. Can anyone tell me how to do this?, as I don't have a clue of what to do. Thanks

Please read through the Microsoft TechNet article, "Appendix H - Accessibility" which discusses Accessibility Tools (which you can disregard perhaps), color, and pointer schemes used in Windows 98 perform.

"Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution."

No mention of much in your post, but let's try this. Does it work in spite of the apparent error? If so, why fix it?

blh, Go into your Control Panel and double click on the Mouse icon to open it. Under the Pointers tab select that line that you had before and click it to hilite it, click Apply, click OK. You may have to use the Browse button to find that line.
