a moderator on this site (Proffitt) mentioned that limewire is a "vile crock of...problems" how so? what are the risks and problems associated with it?

Limewire is P2P with ALL that entails.

what are the risks and problems associated with it?

Think of all the things you would NOT like to see on your computer such as trojans, virus, keyloggers, etc. and realize your "opportunity" to have some all your own to play with is excellent because you CHOSE to share your hard drive for others to make use of.
