LifeDrive vs TX vs Dell Axim

by jjsc / September 7, 2006 3:50 PM PDT

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing a PDA and was wondering which one would be the best choice. I'll be using the PDA to download and look up medical programs.

For me it's the TX vs. Axim x51v
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / September 7, 2006 10:10 PM PDT

Both can be the same price. The lifedrive unless you can get it for very cheap has a nice screen but that battery time can be disheartening. We have 2 at the office and they are unloved for the battery time and the bulk.

From that it only matters if you can get your medical programs for which PDA.

Depent on the software variety
by jordo11 / September 8, 2006 3:07 AM PDT

LifeDrive and TX use Palm OS means only Software for palm can be run over here.

Meanwhile Dell Axim is a PPC and use Windows Mobile 5 to run programs, the variety of them seems pretty high.

I have saw many medical programs for PPC in Handango, this is a good place to buy the software (sure if you want to buy it, medical software are the most expensive).

I have a Dell Axim X51V and i love my PDA, the only problem is that when is wifi on, the baterry dont stand more than 2 hours.

Life Drive is expensive but have a 4 Gig of space, meanwhile dell axim X51v have 2 media slot (CF and SD) so you can buy more memory to saturate your PDA combined you can have 4 Gig too, but need to spend more.

Hope i help you a bit more about this.
