Depends on the Optiplex 745 form factor, size and the MB

want to install in it. the case a standard generic clone form factor with a removable plate in the back to allow alignment to the components/port of various MBs ? Are the mounting points in the case standard for a clone MB ?

If yes to all....then what motherboard form factors will fit in the case.... micro ATX, mini ATX or full size ATX ?

It would be wise to do some checking before trying to use such a case with a generic clone PC motherboard.

Let us know how it turns out.

Probably, but it's also probably going to end up being far more work than its worth. Along with the new motherboard you'll likely need a new CPU, new RAM, new PSU and definitely a new copy of Windows. By the time its all said and done, you're only saving the relatively cheap components of the Optiplex and the old case may simply not be up to the task from a thermal standpoint. There's really just little to no point doing this.
