Sep 8, 2013 12:59PM PDT

Hi i use a couple of LG60PK550 tvs to display powerpoint and other presentations in a corporate environment and i am finding that if i have a still image on the screen they go into a power saving mode and dim. i have turned off the power saving mode but it is still happening. if i change the image on screen then they increase to full brightness again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

These new smart TVs have firmware bugs so besides the autodimming look for any note about a camera or room light detection. If LG fails to fix this, return it as defective.

Answer
Energy Saving Mode

Hello,

You can turn this feature off by, depending on your remote, hitting your Energy Saving Button on the top of the LG remote. Each press of the button will cycle through each energy save option.

Or, if not on your remote:

Press HOME or MENU (some images may differ)
Select SETUP or SETTINGS Icon
Select PICTURE
Select ENERGY SAVING
Select the desired Energy Saving mode by using the directional keys on the remote.

Hope this helps Happy
