I found no service manual and no discussions about repair. Ask LG in your country how much and compare to replacement costs. If you decide to not repair it may fetch a little on Ebay for parts.

I have been having some issues with my monitor. About 2 years ago one day I would turn on the monitor and it would ddisplay my desktop for 1to 2 seconds and then the screem would go black and the monitor still has the red light still on indicating that the monitor is still on. I had the same issue with a samsung monitor which was still under warranty, and was told it was apower supply issue. Since this monitor was out of warranty, I had put it back in the box and back into storage. Now this weekend, I took the monitor back out from storage and plugged it I to see if it is still broken. At that point the monitor worked again. So I continued to use it all day, playing games, watching movies, and browsing the web. Then when I went to bed, I turned it off again. The next morning, I turn it back on and again had the issue of the screen showing the desktop for 1 or 2 seconds and then go into standby mode. I googled the issue and decided to screw apart the monitor and take a look to see if any of the capacitors are bad. I did not find any bad capacitors and do not know now where I should continue. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
