LG VX6100 Voice Recognition Software

Dec 20, 2004 6:07AM PST

LG has new voice recognition software. According to Verizon, "all the newer phones now have this software". Problem is the voice recog software does NOT recognize the name you tell it to call. The voice is a male digital voice that is barely understandable. After I say a name - for example, Mary, the digital voice gives me a list of contacts by asking me "did you say Honda?" or "Did you say Tim". This software is so off the mark its ludicrous. I wrote to LG and so far, no reply. I've returned one VX6100 to Verizon as that phone never worked. The second phone is no better in the voice recognition software. Anyone else have this problem or have you found a solution? Thanks
