LG VX6100 Question, please help!!

Apr 30, 2005 11:23AM PDT

I recently got an LG VX6100 phone using Verizon as my carrier.

Whenever anyone calls me they don't just hear my phone ring as with every other phone I've ever used. They hear a voice say "please wait while we contact your party" or something like that. Then they hear "hold music" or "elevator music" until I pick up the phone on my end.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to turn this thing off. I just want people calling me to hear ringing like every other phone I've ever used.

Does anyone know how to change that setting? I don't even know what the setting might be called so that I can find out how to turn it off in the manual.

Thanks in advance.
