LG VX6100 -- Driving Mode Button

Dec 27, 2004 5:48AM PST

Hi. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but it's really bothering me with this phone. I keep the phone in my pocket and keep it on vibrate 99% of the time. (AKA Manner Mode) The switch on the left side that automatically puts the phone in drive mode gets pressed down against my wallet, and switches phone modes without my knowing. Then, the phone will start ringing while I'm in a meeting or some other inappropriate time. Is there any way to disable that feature? I've read the book and played around with it and can't find any info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Close your phone and hold down the button on the side of the phone at the very bottom on your left.

Disabling side buttons - VX6100

Disabling the side buttons (so they don't get pushed while in your pocket) - Lock your keypad (press and hold the # key.) Then the Voice Command button (Driving Mode) and the camera button are deactivated, and if you press them, the LCD says, "Not available."
