Question

LG TV - sensor, remote and panel not working

May 3, 2014 3:33PM PDT

TV, cat pee by sensor. Remote/panel &sensor not working. Tried headphones then turn TV on could work - worked temp. Turned own volume to max. Unplugged for few hrs & worked for a few mins, started going to input then changing to HDMI & turning itself off. TV $300, -1yr old. Worth fixing? What needs repairing? How much will it cost?

In your other posts you claim it's under 1 year which here means it won't cost me to get it fixed unless it's under a certain size where we get to pay for shipping. In the USA in my city I ship a lot of things so I figure about 35 bucks to ship a 32 inch or smaller set. I won't cost out the packing as I keep some of that at the office and recycle that except for new packing tape.

-> A 300 buck set is iffy to repair out of warranty as the shop counter rate starts around 150 here. I don't see which model is under discussion so I can't guess if I could replace it for the price of shipping or repair.
