Feb 23, 2013 8:18AM PST

Hi anyone that can help i would appreciate greatly

I have a lg smart tv 47ls5700,I also have a bose cinemate that is connected through a converter and optical cord to the tv...if I'm watching tv it works fine, but from the time I switch to Netflix I get no sound from the surround sound...the cinemate comes with just a module that has the RCA inputs...I'm clueless as to what I can do If anything at all..

Neither it's built in so you have to is jack in your RCA and that's it..but I had a bad feeling that nothing could be done...sad though its a waste of time since I can't watch movies from Netflix on surround sound

Very disappointed with lg

I've found settings usually help to get audio over the optical. I don't research when information is left out (no model year) but early models only did stereo on Netflix. Some smart tv owners get upset about how new tvs come out with more features and netflix is not updating last year's models.

My advice is to ignore all Smart TV features. Get such in a bluray or such thing and go for TV quality instead.
