Question

LG TV as PC monitor looks horrible in 1920x1080

Mar 23, 2018 1:09PM PDT

I got a LG 28MT49S and I'm using it as a monitor for my PC, connected via HDMI to an nvidia GTX 760. The thing will only look good in 1360x768, it's native resolution, but I want to use it in 1920x1080. When I try changing the resolution to 1920x1080, the image looks blurred and I can't read anything.

I also tried another TV I have (that I know is 1080p) and it also looks horrible. Before that, I used an old AOC monitor that worked alright in 1920x1080. What do I have to do to use that resolution?

I have no idea how, but after messing around nvidia control panel and the TV's settings, I somehow got it to look normal (no blurry text, not out of focus) on 1920x1080. It looks just like my old monitor did, although I'm yet to get used to its screen's size, since it's much bigger.
