LG TV 42lv355u Screen Problem

Just yesterday my LG tv has turned black on half of the screen. The sound is fine though.

Does anyone know what causes this?

I've had the TV for close to 3 years.

I'd appreciate any help.

There are a few parts that are suspect.

Main board, driver boards, the panel, connections from and to all those parts. This is where your TV repair background kicks in. That is, you read the service manual and follow that it says. Once in a while folk new to repair think you can diagnose it without swapping parts. They learn better over time.
