Question

lg smart tv video player fast forward

Dec 25, 2014 2:15PM PST

I have lg smart tv 32ln572b. Its video player works good. It run movies from usb but when I run a movie in fast forward and then return to normal speed the movie resume from a little earlier time (from 3 to 10 seconds) instead of resuming from the point where I pressed the Play button.
Any one know about this issue? is there any fixed available?
I also have samsung tv. and same movie runs correct on it. Resuming to normal speed form fast-forward just plays from exactly the point where I pressed Play button.

Folk have found this to be a problem in many Smart TVs, including Samsung. Fix? Return it as not fit for market or take the plunge to learn encoding and figure out what this TV likes.

Me? I turn it into a TV and use a box like the WDTV. Only those new to Smart TVs think it can be fixed by the maker.

The only thing I can see that would make a difference if you are doing live recording and you are trying to cut out the commercials otherwise what's the big deal? But good luck in finding a solution.
