If so, I used to rate the cycles on the contacts for test systems. We had many makes and models but we would rank the lowest at a paltry 500 cycles. Even daily changes should get you 2 years on the low side.

Over the past 2 years 've tried a lot of things to improve its battery life, following tips in many forums, installed related apps like Juicedefender and Wake Lock Detector. My phone could easily through one day if not using it hevily, however, I considered myself a heavy user, so I basically swapped an additional battery half day and has to change a new one semiannually before it was swollen. The first extended battery i owned is a 5000 one from mpj. Since I am not going to upgrade a new phone untill it worn-out, I now rely on extd. battery. It currently gives me a total screen-on time of 5-6 hours with mixed real-world use.
Anyway, my question is that if swapping battery frequently is bad for the phone? If so, my next phone will begin with extended battery! LOL
