Question

LG OLED C7 Setup with Xbox One S

Jun 18, 2017 8:41AM PDT

Hello,

I will be picking up an LG OLED C7 early next week and I had a few questions with setting this tv up with my Xbox One S. This tv will mostly be used for gaming, and then sports and tv. I'll most likely be following the advice here...

...setting up my tv, following the game mode setting. Since I own an Xbox one, I have my cable setup through my Xbox. Will this impact my picture when I switch from gaming to watching TV, or watching Netflix on my Xbox? I ask this because it'll be on game mode, HDR activated, and have on HDMI deep colors. Or will I have to switch the picture mode and/or settings?

Thanks.

Also, any other general recommendations or tips prior to setting up my C7?

My bet is you'll tire of changing settings.

Most sets have those settings per HDMI port so my bet is you'll tire from the switches and set it up like most folk with the Xbox on one input and your cable box on another.

Do you feel that passing through your cable signal through xbox one s hdmi in lessens the video quality?
I have done it only to connect my satellite receiver directly to my tv. It may be just me, but i felt the xbox degrades video quality on the output. What are your thoughts?
