Question

LG LCD TV. (Concern)

Aug 25, 2015 6:59PM PDT

I have a 1080p LCD TV 39 inches, the picture shows fine except when the colors show white, or any light color there will be two bright spots that are visible from afar, I don't know if it's bleeding or what but it doesn't show with dark colors just really light colors. Is there any way to fix this or will it require repairs?

You can try factory resets but such is not considered user serviceable. Check warranty and get estimates. Just today I saw a 40 inch albeit 720p for 199USD.

I got the TV back in July 2013, its not under-warranty, And what would factory resetting do exactly?

It might bring it back. However

There are folk that want deep assurances on any last chance ideas. For me I like to to try what we can before it goes to the shop or recycle bin.

http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-39LN5300 appears to give a link to request service. If you bought this with CC, Costco you may want to find your receipt.

Not much to be done about it, although turning off and then rubbing the area has helped some. Other times there are hot spots behind the screen causing it. Mostly a factory warranty problem.
