There have been some mis-steps on BD players. Call it in to report the DVD title. Some will never play due to region or copy protection.

Hello Campastampas.
We regret to read about the issues you're experiencing with your LG LAB450 Soundplate and your LG 42LG840 3D TV. Which country are you in? Neither the LAB450 nor the 42LG840 show as being US models and for assistance in troubleshooting them, you will need to contact the LG Customer Interactive Center in your region since units differ by region. It may be as Bob advised in his response that the discs you're attempting to play are not coded for your region unless your Soundplate is an "all region" or "zone free" player. The other issue may be that you need a firmware update because the encryption on DVDs is constantly being changed prevent piracy and a firmware update might solve that issue...^IFV
