Question

LG K8 mobile phone

Mar 30, 2017 3:02PM PDT

My LG K8 internal memory is almost full so I bought a new SD card with the intention of transfering some files to it, however my attempts so far have failed.
Could someone provide me with an idiots guide on how to do it.
The information provided by LG does not work

Thank you

Answer
Android is all over the map on this.

Everytime I supplied a how to, the Android phone was different in some way.

In short, get your pictures out of the phone then install Dropbox so you can automatically have those pictures show up on your Dropbox folder and drag them to where you keep them.

Then on your phone you can delete them.

As to apps, be brutal. Uninstall till it hurts.

Answer
Linux

Use a linux distro to do it. It can access the Android file system. I suggest Linux Mint, Ubuntu Mate as the most popular versions, easiest for newcomer to Linux. When I plug my LG Optimus into Mint, the file manager automatically opens up to the Android folders.
