Question

LG G5 Camera won't Focus- applicable for warranty?

Jul 14, 2017 6:36PM PDT

For the past month, the main camera on my LG G5 has not been focusing, and will only take blurry photos. Since I bought this phone less than a year ago, will a non-functional camera be enough to file a warranty claim?

I've cleaned the lense several times - has not resolved the issue

I have a different LG, the Optimus

And a look at it seems to indicate it uses a fixed focus lense. I have other settings for shutter speed, even a "cheese" (voice command) shutter, ISO, lighting, resolution, and others, but nothing for manual nor automatic focus setting in it.

Well, seems it does have a laser focus lens

As before, the autofocus is assisted by a laser that measures the subject distance.

Perhaps that laser isn't working now? I would think it should be a warranty issue, if still time on the warranty. Especially since they've made the dual lenses a big selling point for it.
