It's pretty new (to you) so back to the seller and try another. Fixing these things costs more than the phone now. Can be upsetting to some folk.
Device: LG G2 smartphone, unlocked
O/S: Android 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Carrier: Koodo Mobile
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Bought used 2 weeks ago, from a private party.
Everything works well and smoothly, except the GPS.
Google Maps: signal connects, then disconnects, then so on and forth; never keeps a continuous and steady connection for more than 10 seconds.
Waze: application seeks GPS signal, but never connects
Troubleshooting:
* Soft restart; attempt using Google Maps and Waze: same results.
* Power off and on; attempt using Google Maps and Waze: same results
*Turn off location services; turn them back on; wait a few minutes; try using Google Maps and Waze; same results.
* Check for Android Software Update: gets notified that the device has the latest software update.
Installed app GPS Status & Toolbox; ran the app; prompts with
'looking for GPS location ,,,'; app searches for several minutes, but never find the GPS satellite/signal.
