Question

LG Dubbing VCR to DVD problem

Im having trouble with my older LG-6711R203A DVD Recorder. Even though its older (2007 maybe?), it has converted many VHS tapes to DVD. Now that I want to convert my DVD to MP4, I find that the DVDs recorded on this device and which CAN be played back on this same LG DVD burner cannot be played on my HP DVD-RW player in my HP PC running Windows 10. It doesnt even recognize the DVD has any VOB files on it. I cannt see any files at all in fact even when I use a tool like "Handbrake" to cop the files. Handbrake cant find any files either. Windows see it as blankDVD, but it plays on the LG Player, and I can see the laser "tracks" written to the DVD. Does anybody have a clue how I can extract these home movies I converted? Its a problem Id like to resolve rather than resorting to Encodingthe Composite output via SW which is more xpensive

Clarification Request
Can you tell us what changed since it worked?

Such as "It works on my Windows XP PC" or such.

To me this sounds like the session is not closed or you need a player like VLC Player.
ISOBUSTER may have to be used so look into that.

LG Dubning Vcr to Dvd

Maybe i wasnt clear. The problem is i have never tried to “read” before any LG burned Dvd from this burner. The problem is i cannot read the dvds on any pc. I own 2 and one is running Win 7 and the other is running Win 10. Totally sifferent Dvd players in e@ch. one is newer DVD-RW (HP), the other is an older Dell multimedia Gaming PC (10 years old). Either can read the Dvds burned from LG. I tried using DVD+R and DVD-R and neither can be read! Is there a country code problem?

I have a DVD recorder too.

But in the recorder I MUST finalize the DVD before it works on my PCs or other players.

ISOBUSTER works around that issue or requirement (some call it a bug, I call it a requirement.)

I didn't note this before but neither google or LG know what the recorder is.

I wonder if the model number is something else. If I had a link to the product at lg.com I'd read the manual to see if I could point out the command to finalize the media.
