You might not buy any product today.
As to the air conditioner, it sounds new and maybe obtained so recently that you can just exchange it where you bought it rather than deal with repair.
Has anyone read the over 120 complaints filed with the Consumer Affairs division? I don't think I would buy any LG products after reading these. I haven't read all of them but it appears that the company/customer service, does not resolve problems that customers have. I didn't read these reviews before I bought an LG window air conditioner which didn't power on after it was installed. I will ask for advice on the air conditioner on the appropriate category on this site.
