It's a software bug IMO. I thought most routers let you use one SSID for 2.4 and another for the 5GHz band? That could fix it if LG won't.

I have a 2012 LG smart TV that i have always been bothered with something. I run a router with dual bands at 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz. Because of the amount of devices i have running on the 2.4 band, i connect the TV to the 5 ghz because of the amount of streaming we do to it either netflex or from my desktop (hard wired to router).
However many times i connect to the 5 ghz, when ever i turn the TV back on, it always connects to the 2.4. How come any other device i own defaults to the last connected SSID expect for this TV....
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
