Question

LG 55LA621Y DLNA SERVER

May 19, 2013 11:19PM PDT

Hello guys!
I have a problem with the DLNA server of my tv.
I got a regular computer a laptop and the smart tv.
The regular computer connected via cable and the smart tv and the laptop via WI-FI.

When i start a DLNA server in my normal computer it works great, and i see under the category of ''devices that my smarttv is listed there''.
When i use the same program on my laptop, it cant find the tv under ''devices'' therefore it cant find the DLNA server im starting with my laptop.

What can i do?

In addition i would like to buy a wireless keyboard for my tv to make it easier for me to surfe the internet. which will you recomend me to buy?

I saw the logitech k-400 and it looks good cause it has a touch screen as well as a keyboard but its kinda too expensive for me right now, is there someting like that but less expensive?

Hope you can help me.

It was near the top of your post.

"I have a problem with the DLNA server of my tv."

You wrote it was of your TV and not to your TV.

But DLNA does not cast the screen of your PC to the TV. So that's not a feature of DLNA so that's a dead end.

Answer
Check firewall on laptop

Check that firewall on your laptop - it may be blocking DLNA communication. Try turn it off as a test. If you are using a router then check it's settings as well since it can also block DLNA or UPnP traffic.
