Question

LG 50PC1D fault...help

Apr 28, 2013 9:06PM PDT

Hi,
My tv is keep going onto standby and sometimes makes a popping noise and a click i heard before the light goes from green to standby. Ive heard it could be a circuit board problem but which one as there seems to be a few inside the tv, although i havnt taken the back off the tv yet...the set was made in 2006...money is tight so im after an inexpensive fix.

Thanks.

Unless the tech sees a good reason to replace a few defective caps, he'll replace a board. Ask for a quote before having it done.

Unplug this set until it's repaired, Such a story tells me the set has issues and continued trying to power up could result in a blown board versus a few caps.
