Question

LG 47LW4500 digital tv access problems

Feb 28, 2016 5:26PM PST

Hi forum,

I relocated from South Africa to Australia. I connected the tv cable (digital tv) to my Sony KDL-32EX600 tv and used the digital tv autotune function which picked up all channels effortlessly. The Sony's menu is so much more extensive than my LG's.

Using the same cable, I connected my LG-LW4600 tv, proceeded many a time to the setup menu where auto tune consistently picks up zero channels. I've tried tuning with data service set to Teletext or MHEG, with no change to the outcome.

I thought maybe it had to do with setting the location on my tv, but cannot find where to change this on the LG.

Do you think the signal is just too weak for my LG and therefore need a signal booster or does the problem lie elsewhere? The tv specs say it is compatible with Australian DTV.

Thanks,
Duncan
