LG 47LH50

I saw your review on Tivo and CNET of the LG 47LH50. I just picked one up and the firmware would not update. I called LG support and they told me to return it. I brought home a second one tonight and it has the same problem. I called tech support back and they did not have 2nd level support so they emailed the engineers to see if they could help. Its been 5 hours and I have not heard back.

Strange....It looks like they may have a production issue.

Firmware does download and then gets saved but when trying to write to the Flash memory it fails.

Also Standard Def is very fuzzy especially on faces in the background (i.e Pelosi and Biden standing behind Barack this evening during his health care speech)

Thought I would let you know. I am hoping they will call and fix it so I can get VUDU and YouTube.

Thanks,

Jeff

LG 47LH5000 Settings
Feb 20, 2010 5:46PM PST

Just to say thank you for posting these settings and those on AV Forums at: http://www.avforums.com/forums/lg-owners-forum/915419-official-lg-lh5000-lcd-thread-14.html#post11580911

I would like to know if there are any changes or suggested changes since the settings were posted.

In addition, is there any way to make images lines 'smoother' as when watching football (soccer) for example, the pitch markings appear jagged and there appears to be a sort of pixelation around objects/people. Maybe setting the TruMotion on would help, but I'm not a technophobe, so would appreciate any advice.
