Question

LG 47 TV Problem

Jun 20, 2013 6:44PM PDT

Hi all,

I have a approximately 6 yr old LCD HD LG television. Has worked great till lately. TV comes on when turned on but after 20 seconds or so goes to a static pattern type screen. Turning off and on seems to resolve this but now its getting worse. On a couple of occasions its been a green or black screen only.
Sound is not affected.
Thanks for any advice.

Cheers AL

Like any old device, the advice is to ask a quote for repair, and then - depending on how much that is - decide between having it repaired or buying a new one.

time to buy new one

That is a very good excuse to buy a new one.

My 6 years old LCD is still performing like it was new.
But I wish it has developed faults!
I want all the bells and whistles of a new TV - smat/3D etc etc.

That's a good clue it needs repairs.

If you own a solder iron and repair electronics be sure to reveal that as you post.

Otherwise I think Kees has it covered.
