Resolved Question

LG 42LA690V ghosting

Sep 12, 2013 5:45AM PDT

Hello,
Just bought an LG 42LA690V and it works great. Youtube and movies from SMART work great.

When I connect it to the computer though, I get some ghosting, my mouse is not that accurate and seems like moving unrealistic, slower than on the normal screen. It is like it lags a bit, or it stays behind. My monitor I use is FULL HD 1920x1080, same as the TV. Same cables used.

This happens everywhere, desktop and game.
Drivers are up to date, computer is really fast. I have an NVidia GeForce 560Ti.

Do you have any solution for my case?
Thank you very much.
Appreciated.

Yes of course, I have a mini HDMI to HDMI and DVI to HDMI and same thing.
Still, as monitor connection are both fine.

What mode are you trying to send to the TV?

Disabling TruMotion does not work. At least for me.

1st thing, When connecting to the computer make sure you connect it to the first HDMI port (ARC one or such), as confirmed from LG support, that is the best port to hook you computer to.

2nd thing, resolution for me is set to 1920x1080 (native) and I have to set my TV to Just Scan mode to fit entire screen.

3rd thing, get the remote, push the RATIO button (located at the top of the remote), go to the last option to the right, AV MODE and set it to GAME.

At this point I can not see any ghosting. All have been sorted out for me.
Let me know if you guys find that this solution does not work for you.
Thank you.
Hope for the best!

Disable the True Motion from Settings -> Picture...
Did not test yet... but I trust that is the problem. Will post back when solution is verified.
