Netflix dynamically and automatically adjusts resolution in the app. I didn't look for your particular model since you would have explored all the menus in the apps. So I'll share how it works in as few words as possible.

I am only looking at the TV right now it's a LG 32LB5800. with 2 older LGs I can adjust the settings so the picture fills the screen. one being a 32 inch and the other a 47 inch. I bought a Samsung 32 and was disappointed to find that the setting for those apps is grayed out. I bought it through Amazon so I have time to return it for something else. I guess I should have stayed with LG as I've always had good luck with the brand.

This app is not written by LG but Netflix. They would be the best ones to answer this question. HOWEVER SCREEN FIT is not considered to be Screen Resolution. That's another thing. Screen fit in Netflix is well, a PITA since some content can be old 4x3. To fix that you would need a 4x3 screen.
